Welcome to The Vintage Wife!

I am Cedar and this is my blog. I have been blogging in one form or another for close to ten years, starting with scribble.nu and LiveJournal, and finally working my way up to my own hosted site. The Vintage Wife blog started in August 2008 as a way to share my love for vintage with others, as well as meet other like minded folks. I originally came up with the name because of my fascination with the role of the homemaker throughout history.

I am a stay at home mom to Lucy, born May 4, 2011. I have a passion for oil painting, and blog about my art occasionally. To see my finished pieces go to CedarTaylor.com. I am passionate about cooking and eating real foods. I would love to one day own a small farm, and be almost entirely self sufficient. I love all things domestic. I cook, can, clean, garden (in our limited space), sew, and love hosting parties. I try to blog about all my projects and adventures, be they domestic or not.
