Vintage Maternity at 29 Weeks

I hope you all had a great weekend. Ours was nice and relaxed, with a surprising douse of rain. I so much love a summer rain, even if it turns our dry desert heat into the sticky hot tropics for a couple of days. Everything smells so nice and clean after a good rain. With the cloud cover and all day drizzle on Saturday, I couldn’t help but make a pot of soup and pretend that fall had arrived.

I sewed this top from a vintage pattern back when I was pregnant with Lucy, according to this blog post, December 2010–it seems so long ago now! I didn’t ever care for how the skirt turned out, but the top has been a life saver this summer. It is so light and breezy, and unlike many of my vintage tops (maternity and not), the arm holes are big enough that I don’t feel like I am going to have crazy sweat stains when I spend a little time in the sun.

Well, all day off and on and then through Saturday night. It was so nice! We went to Anthony’s for lunch on Sunday.
