Some Recent Finds

By Cedar | October 15, 2013

Here are some of my vintage finds from the past week. I hope you guys don’t mind that these recent finds posts become regular, I sure do enjoy doing them. I would love to see what you came home with as well, if you have a blog and post pictures of your thrifty finds, please share the link.

Above are a few little things from the thrift store and swap meet. Isn’t that tray fun? I love the illustrations on it! I don’t think the cream pitcher and sugar bowl are vintage, but they sure are cute! Oh, and those fish snack trays, so great!

More kitchen stuff.

I think these reindeer glasses are my favorite find of the week. $10 for the set at the swap meet.

franciscan starburst vintage dishes

Okay, these plates were a bit of a cheat, but still a major score. The Francsican Starburst dishes are so, so expensive, every now and then I check ebay for a deal that went under the radar. I scored this stack of dishes for $11.

I love these cute 50s books. Some of the titles include; “I want to be an orange grower”, “I want to be an animal doctor”, and “I want to be a telephone operator”. The illustrations inside of these books sold me, maybe one of these days I will share the inside of one or two of them.

I ADORE your finds posts! They always inspire me to get out there hunting. Your reindeer glasses have done just that, because I am currently obsessed with finding fancy little glasses for egg nog in time for the holidays. I also want so badly to find an entire set of vintage Christmas-themed tableware, despite having neither the space nor the budget for such an item. (I think that falls into the category of “First World Problems”.)

I know you were posting some pictures from inside those books – can you post some of the librarian one for me? :D

Those gold/black/white design glasses are gorgeous!

Love those reindeer glasses!! I’m a fellow San Diegan and post my weekly finds over on my blog. It’s always fun to see what other local treasures are out there :)

We have the exact same Cocktail Recipe glass, but I had no idea it originally came with a juicer top. Hmm…don’t be surprised if that goes “missing” next time I’m over!
