Friday Favorites

(Photo booth at King’s Highway in Palm Springs)

Today is Friday, right? I don’t know about you, but this one sneaked up on me…which makes for the best kind of Friday.

I recently had a friend ask why I always despise Mondays so much and welcome Fridays with such open arms. As a stay at home mom, I have it made, right? Right. I do. I agree. I wouldn’t have it any other way, but do I still get tired. My days are spent telling my two year old no; no, you can’t eat a bowl of chocolate, or a bowl of trader joe’s rockets, no, we can’t watch 8 hours of Yo Gabba Gabba, no you can’t stick your finger there, please don’t wipe your booger on my clothes, oww don’t bite me, please don’t follow me in the bathroom, stop touching the dog’s bottom, stop touching your bottom, don’t wipe your bottom finger in my face, etc. My hat is off to single moms everywhere, as well as moms of multiples. I can barely do it, I don’t know how you do it.

Anyway, happy Friday.

This cinnamon raisin swirl bread looks amazing.

The always glamorous Super Kawaii Mama posted a very informative video about getting a middy haircut and vintage hairstyle.

Eartha Kitsch is quite possibly my favorite blogger ever. Ever. She has the best sense of humor and incredible taste. If you haven’t seen her site, go, but only if you promise to return to mine and not be too disappointed with my content. Recently she and her husband were on a house hunt, check out this gorgeous place!

The Real Mermaids of San Marcos, Texas was a fascinating read.

How about homemade apple cider donuts? Please, someone come make these for me, while I put my feet up and stare at a screen.  Seriously.

If you need a little vintage home inspiration, check out this gorgeous home from Stef of Oh So Lovely Vintage.

I have to credit you with introducing me to Eartha Kitsch with a link several months ago.. I have never, EVER laughed so hard at a blog in my life. And I’m pleased to report that I still love your blog just as much!

Single moms, seriously- I don’t know how they do it. I’ve got a 6 month old boy and am lucky enough to stay at home, but it’s hard. So hard! Thank goodness I’ve got a partner who can carry some of the load when he gets home and on weekends. I couldn’t do it without him.

Also, seriously impressed that you are able to cook the amazing meals you do with a small one. I feel lucky on the days when I can shove a banana in my mouth :)
