1. Heirloom tomato and pesto pizza
2. A party in the garden (or you know, the 11′ x 20′ patio)
3. Homemade crackers
4. Kale, forbidden rice, and heirloom tomatoes
5. Nectarines from a friend’s tree (currently in the freezer awaiting canning)
6. Zucchini-tomato gratin
Tomatoes. Tomatoes! We have been eating them every single day, sometimes at every meal. Is there any summer vegetable (or fruit, but whatever) more glorious? I have six plants growing in my garden. Three sungold cherry tomatoes and three brandywines. All plants are over six feet tall, but because of the limited sun in our tiny patio/yard they are taking ages to ripe. Luckily we have incredible farmers markets around here, so it hasn’t been hard to get my tomato fix!
