1. A new friend
2. Breakfast fritatta (onion, potatoes, spinach, and Parmesan with eggs)
3. Visiting a farm
4. My absolute favorite breakfast, avocado on toast with heirloom tomatoes
5. Hummus in a pail for a picnic
6. Little apples at the farm
We are soaking it all in. We have been fairly lucky lately, not too many excruciatingly hot days yet. This mid 80s to low 90s weather has allowed us to get out quite a bit lately (before the heat of August hits!). We have enjoyed visits to the beach, the farm, lots of park dates, picnics, hikes, and more. Somewhere deep down under all my bahumbug I think I actually do like summer, a little bit. Don’t get me wrong, I still am anxiously awaiting fall’s arrival, if only for the apple picking, just look at those apples above–I can hardly wait!
Until October hits though, we will keep up with what we are doing. Two is such a fun and curious age, we really are having a blast exploring bits of our town I had never seen and trying to get a bit more connected to nature.
