Hey Friends, It’s Hot

It’s been a little quiet around here this week. I blame it on the heat. I so badly want to be outside enjoying the summer, but the heat has felt so crippling all I can manage to do is turn on the AC and hang out around the house. It is so draining, I feel like my energy and brain power really wane in the summer months.

In the evenings Lucy and I go run around outside for a little while or go take a dip in our community pool, but that still seems like such an insignificant amount of time. I yearn for entire days spent by a lake, with the end of summer somewhat in sight (instead of ending at the end of October like it does here). Fingers crossed that one of these days I will strike it rich and can finally buy a summer house near my childhood home on the Puget Sound.

My indoor/AC time hasn’t been entirely unproductive, I have been learning more about my camera and trying to improve my photography. During my spare time (naps/nursing time) I have been reading different sources online about camera functions. When Lucy wakes I have been able to put my new knowledge to use, it has been fun!

I hope you are all staying cool and doing a bit better than I am at enjoying the summer.

I’m in SE Ga, and it’s been miserable here, so I can sympathize. I stay indoors June-Sept.

Yes, in GA it’s been miserable. I’ve spent so much time indoors I’m beginning to feel like a hermit. Also, Ruby has that exact same outfit! Cute girl.

  3. This heat is oppressive. I’m planning on doing my outdoor summer activities in fall. ;)
