Today was a bit of a sad day. I sent a really amazing piece of vintage through the mail to Tasha of By Gum By Golly, and it arrived shattered. I feel like I packed it well, but I can’t help feeling sad and a bit guilty that it broke. I always feel so bummed when vintage breaks, it just makes me think that there is one less of that amazing item in the world. Maybe there is a vintage heaven…?
Anyway, I decided to dress in an outfit that would lift my spirits a bit, and that, along with a little retail therapy at an estate sale (or two) surely did the trick.
Those shoes!! So sad about Mr. Horse. Kinda reminds me of that scene from the Glass Menagerie…

Awwww, he was so sweet, too! I’m glad you have a picture at least! I hate when something vintage gets destroyed on accident. Anytime I hear a breaking noise I always come running…usually a kitchen glass, and I try my best to think of it as being given the opportunity to collect a new (old) one.
I love your outfit, that skirt is just awesome!
