A Knit Top for Lucy

Last night I finished the top I was knitting for Lucy. This is major. It is my first (completed) knitted article of clothing, and really the only thing I have ever finished other than a few measly dish cloths. This is the pattern I used from Ravelry. I will probably do it again in the 18 month size, it was such a fast and easy knit–perfect for a beginner!

A few friends recently were asking how I have learned to knit, since I’ve had no one directly teach me; Google and YouTube. Really, they have become such valuable tools when it comes to learning. Any time I come to a direction in the pattern that I don’t understand, I type it into the search engine, and in (usually) less than a minute or two I am able to do the required step and move on to the next.

This is so cute! It would look equally cute with a long sleeve underneath for chillier days.
    Very nice!

Adorable!!! I will be starting on this for my wee one tonight! I just found your blog and you are my kind of Mama! The gardening, the knitting, the laundry soap making. I assume that you live in San Diego (via the post about mission trails) I live in lakeside. Aaaand now I sound like a stalker. Thanks for the blog. I do enjoy it.

Not at all weird (btw, sorry it is taking so long to reply!). We are practically neighbors, I live in El Cajon! One of these days I want to organize a blogger get together. -Cedar
