The quilt is finished! It feels so good to finally cross something off my baby to-do list.
Russ and I went and picked out this blue/green fabric for the back of the quilt over the weekend. It took a little more work to decide on the color of bias tape to use around the edge. Originally we chose yellow, I changed my mind and sewed on blue, and then this morning decided I liked pink best–so I ripped up all the blue and sewed on the pink. I am happy with pink. I can’t wait to see how it looks in baby’s crib when we get her nursery area set up, which I can hopefully start working on this weekend after my baby shower.

oh, it’s lovely! I love the pink trim too, perfect choice. was it very difficult?

Wow! It’s beautiful. I love the different colors in the fabrics that you used. The pink bias tape is so pretty too. I can’t wait to see pics of your nursery. Mine is -almost- finished!! Have fun at your shower! xoxo

It looks wonderful! But yes… was it difficult to make? I’ve never madea quilt before, but I am thinking of giving it a bash – any advice?

Heidi & Rebecca- No, it wasn’t too difficult, but it also isn’t perfect! A lot of the squares don’t line up as perfectly as I would like, but it is my first quilt. I did buy the squares pre-cut, which saved me a lot of the work.

I love the quilt! I remember making a quilt while expecting my first baby; such a sweet precious time, savor it!
He’s turning 11 next month, and still has the quilt I made him in his bed; I was thinking about that today when I registered him for middle school; where did the time go?
Enjoy this time, even though it’s difficult to be pregnant; it’ll never come again!
(Sorry, I’m all emotional….)

Beautiful, you’ve done a great job! And I think the pink tape was a good idea.
